Colin E. Davis (b. 1969) and Melissa Mari (1962-2025) are the founders of Shadow Tech Alchemy and the authors of Shadow Tech - Cracking the Codes of Personal and Collective Darkness (2015). Besides their life-long interest in metaphysics and spirituality, they are professional musicians. Colin is the founder of the extreme metal band VILE and is a recording and mastering engineer. Melissa was also a prolific rock and metal music singer. Their work includes books, white papers, articles, interviews and workshops, as well as personal coaching sharing their style psycho-spiritual alchemy with the public.
On January 5th, 2026 Melissa Mari left our planet, leaving her creative estate and soul mission to be carried on by Colin, her partner and husband, who continues to develop and teach their Way of inner alchemy. The film about Melissa and their alchemical relationship can be found here.

Shadow Tech is a cutting edge platform for understanding the shadow of the human psyche. It is grounded in Jungian psychology and inner alchemy, but it is also a systems based approach, tying together understandings from a variety of domains to create a holistic or “Integral” perspective on the human shadow.
This way of seeing can be used to help heal self-destructive complexes passed through families, formed out of trauma. It can be used to transcend destructive relationship patterns - in fact it uses relational conflict as a catalyst for inner development. It incorporates realizations about the relationship between the shadow of the psyche and illness in the body, and it can help us understand how large-scale social pathologies manifest. Shadow Tech presents a theory of how the shadow is directly linked to macro-social evil.
